Getting tired of your current Blogger template? Want to try some new digs on your blog? If you use Blogger as your blogging platform, you’ve probably heard that Blogger doesn’t stand up in design when compared to other platforms such as WordPress. While this may be true in some cases, I’ve never had trouble finding Blogger templates I love.
The time has come to branch off my personal Facebook page and dedicate a Facebook page to Eazy Cheezy to better engage with all the wonderful readers and followers.
Today, I wanted to give you a platform to promote a quality link or product. After all, there’s nothing like free promotion. Whether it’s a blog article you’re proud of, a new app you just launched or anything else, feel free to tell us more about it.
Reviews I’ve had have led to me creating an About Page, better logo, RSS & Twitter Icons, transitioning to a more simple layout, adding a Related Post section, etc. Below are 14 sites and forums you can use to get free site reviews. Each link below provides a direct link to the site review section of the site offering this service. To help you better choose which to utilize, I’ve identified each Google Page Rank & requirements for review.
I recently received my very first freelance writing contracted job, writing an iPhone App article for an upcoming iPhone Magazine App. The experience was very enjoyable, rewarding and I can’t wait for the next opportunity.
This past Sunday, I had a nice little traffic spike. Eazy Cheezy jumped from an average of 4000 daily visitors to 12,000 visitors on this day. While most would welcome the traffic bump, I experienced a few 500 and 503 errors. When the site was up, it was crawling. I watched my bounce rate climb to almost 25%…not good.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! As you’ll see, there’s a new look at Eazy Cheezy and I personally love it. After trying on over a dozen themes and even paying for one that just didn’t appeal to me once I tried it on, I’ve found the perfect theme I’ve been looking for.My apologies for the different looks you may have been seeing recently. I like to try different looks, then choosing my favorite.
Last January, being that I was just 3 months into my young blogging career, I posted 30 Lessons Learned From a Newbie Blogger. To be fair, I jumped in with both feet and blogged full-time as I was job hunting. I was a sponge, learning the ins and outs of blogging. I’m happy to say I didn’t embarrass myself with the original post. Obviously I’ve learned much more than I knew when I was just 3 months in. I thought it would be fun to re-explore this post, keeping each tip I originally provided, while offering my thoughts 13 months later. I’ll also add a few more tips I’ve learned along the way.
Recently, I reviewed Squarespace and was quite intrigued by the potential Squarespace provided. As I mentioned, Squarespace is an all-in-one blogging platform and hosting solution that you can get for as low as $8 a month. What attracted me most to Squarespace is the simplicity and ability to modify every aspect of the theme. Squarespace provides the ability to change the number of sidebars and best of all the unmatched flexibility to change the width of both your sidebars and post section.
When I initially began blogging in 2008, I began with the simple and free Blogspot platform. As I progressed in my blogging experience and knowledge, I made the decision to transition to WordPress. Though Blogger was simple and nice, the designs and plugins available in WordPress intrigued me. From early 2009 to present, I’ve been quite happy with WordPress. Since WordPress required me to utilize a hosting company, I have used Bluehost since it’s plays nice with WordPress.
With the Super Bowl approaching, it’s time to get excited about all the upcoming Super Bowl commercials. Why get excited for these advertisements? For starters, advertisers are dropping $3 million for each 30 second commercial slot. They are putting their creative marketing team to the test to come up with advertisements that gets our attention.
When I initially began blogging in September 2008, I began using social networks such as Digg, Stumble Upon, Delicious, Yahoo Buzz and more. For a bit, I focused on Digg and Stumble Upon and even did a side-by-side experiment. Not only did Stumble Upon blow Digg away but it continues to be a primary source of my traffic over 1 year since my original experiment. The difference is I no longer have the time to use Stumble Upon or Digg, but I’m very thankful to all my outstanding readers who’ve shared my posts.
