Blackberry App World Launches

Great news for Blackberry Users! Blackberry Apps World was just launched and it looks pretty awesome! They’ve loaded the Apps Center with over 350 Apps to start and I’m sure we’ll see this number continue to increase.

Here’s how it works. Once you download Blackberry App World to your Blackberry, you’ll find several Apps, both free and for purchase. To purchase an App, you must first have a PayPal account established.

You can search through the Apps by a nice side scrolling interface, by category, top downloads, search or “myworld.” Each App displays a short description, Free or the specific price and a 1-5 star rating. Below, you’ll find the various categories as well as how many Apps are in each.

I hope you have as much fun with the Blackberry App World as I am. Apple has led the way in Apps with iTunes, but it’s good to finally see Blackberry providing a nice established central location for Apps. It’s a bit late, but regardless of how long it took, I think we can all agree that it’s great to finally have this available. Off to play with the App Center!
