Hotspot Shield works by giving you increased security behind a virtual private network (VPN) and TorProject, which is a network of virtual tunnels that helps protect your privacy and anonymity. You can safely and securely surf the net directly from a site such as ProxyMouse, since your IP Address is kept secret when using this site. ProxyMouse is currently offline, but I’m hoping it’s back soon since it’s a great method to use.
