Yesterday I covered some of the great video editing tools that are currently available, so today I thought it would be appropriate to dig into slideshow tools. Slideshows give you an attractive method to share photos with family and friends and to also present information. I’ve had extensive experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, but PowerPoint is somewhat limited and there are many other available tools to use as an alternative. Below, you will find 8 slideshow tools.
1. Animoto - Animoto lets your turn your photos into music videos. Sign up for a free account. Then upload photos, pick from over 200 songs or upload your own and Animoto will analyze & produce a unique videos each time. You can then add them to Myspace, Facebook, Your Blog, Youtube, etc. Create as many short videos (30 seconds) as you’d like or full length videos for $3 each or get an all-access pass for $30 a year.
2. Slideroll – Flash based slideshow for your photos. Slideroll enables you to save your slideshows on Youtube, Myspace of via e-mail. You can also use the Slideroll Video Creator to add music and turn your photos into a video.
3. FlickrSLiDR – FlickrSLiDR lets you embed Flickr Slideshows into your website or blog. Simple to use and customizable sizes.
4. Slide – Add photos from your desktop or your social networking profiles, customize the design, add skins, themes, music, effects & many more options. Then save it and share it with your friends.
5. Slideshare – Add audio to your slides and upload and share presentations to share your ideas, connect with others, and generate business leads. You can find presentations you like, then tag, download and embed them into your site or blog.
6. 280 Slides – 280 Slides gives you the ability to create very attractive presentations, share and access them from online. No software downloads and it’s free.
7. WebSlides - Create a slideshow widget from either your web feed or bookmarks. WebSlides is a very unique and interesting tool to display and share your website in a different way.
8. SlideRocket – SlideRocket is another great way to create beautiful presentations. The free version offers 250MB of storage, Powerpoint importing and other general creating tools. You can get additional features and storage for $10/month for individuals and $20/month for businesses.
