Have you ever grown weary of your same old font style and color scheme in your Blogger template? Perhaps instead of going through the task of starting over with a new template, you can make some simple font and color adjustments to help brighten your blog up. Or maybe you’ve recently changed to a new template, but aren’t fond of the color scheme and want to add your own personal touch-ups to it.

In Blogger, you don’t have to be an HTML expert to customize your color and fonts. I’ve recently found that probably 1 out of every 2 bloggers who use Blogger are unaware of the ability to customize fonts and colors within their layout. It’s a really simple process & fun to see your blog in different fonts and colors. Here’s what you’ll need to do;

1. Click on Blogger & Login
2. Click “Layout”

3. The default page will always display Page Elements, but directly to the right of Page Elements, you’ll find Fonts and Colors. Click on Fonts and Colors.

4. This is where you can really customize those aspects of your site with no HTML know-how. As you try new colors and fonts, your template automatically displays the changes you made. After each change you like, click on Save Changes. If you don’t like any of the changes, click on Clear Edits.
Best of all, it displays colors already used in your blog & colors that match your blog. Be honest, did you know about this customization ability? I somehow failed to observe it until about my 3rd week of blogging when I first started. I actually forgot about it and have made my color modifications within the template by adjusting the HTML. Boy is this a much more efficient and effective way. Have you tried to change your fonts or colors? If so, drop your link so we can check out the changes you made.

    I was extremely happy when I found out I could adjust the colors to my liking. Thanks for getting it out there that one doesn’t need an IT tech to make some pleasing adjustments to one’s weblog.

    No doubt Thomas, it really simplifies things. Hmm, wonder why the Intense Debate commenting system never popped up?

    Brian,
    What happened to intense debate?
    How did you get your blogger comment box to reappear?

    I have adjusted my font colors but not the type of font yet. I kind of favor something more traditional in the typeface:)
