The Amazing VLC Media Player

In reviewing my 20 Free Sites for Music and 20+ More Free Sites for Music & Audio, I had a glaring omission. I mistakenly failed to mention one of my favorite tools that I use for playback of music and videos.

Have you ever tried to play a file that Windows Media Player or any other type of program you use won’t support? Sure, you spend the time converting the file or finding a program to convert the file, but who has the time or patience? VLC media player is a free multi-media player that works with Windows, MAC & Linux and plays virtually any video and audio format and do so much more. Watch a DVD, play mp3s, ogg, mpeg-1/2/4, divx, and so many more. You can also add effects to videos you’re watching.
