Snap Shots – Add preview images to your blog links
I was surfing the net looking for new tools and widgets and I came across a very cool and useful tool, Snap Shots. Snap Shots enhances links within your postings with visual previews of the destination sites. For your readers, Snap Shots allows them to get a sneak peak of what site they are getting ready to navigate to before clicking the link.
You can click here to register for a free account. Here’s how you set Snap Shots up with your Blog.
1. Under the customization tab, you can choose the color, add an image (optional) and choose the language that you want your preview windows to appear in.
Click the +Advanced Settings and you’ll have several options to select, such as whether you want preview windows for internal and external links and whether you want a large image.
I selected only external links to avoid having too many preview windows pop up. I also included the snap shot logo so readers know which links have the icons. I recommend utilizing the “What Your Shots Will Look Like” section.

2. Once you are satisfied with your customization, click continue and you’ll get the HTML code in the Installation Tab. You can copy the code paste the code directly before the tag.
The tag should be at the very end of your Blogger Template. I’d recommend backing up your template prior to inserting the code. You should also use the preview button to ensure everything looks as it should. The snap shots didn’t appear in the preview, but I double-checked that there were no errors.
3. Once you save your template, you should be able to see the snap shot previews by scrolling over the links you set. If you decide that you want to customize the settings, you can do so within the preview window or from the Snap Shot site.
You also have the option of downloading a Snap Shot Add-On or setting up Snap Shot Shares, which is the tab after installation.
If you would like to add a Snap Shots Badge to your site, you can find the different badges here.
